Hi! I’m Tate Coltrane, an electronic dance music producer and DJ based out of New York City.

Growing up playing piano and violin, my first instinct with each song was the melody. As I moved into EDM, I started using melody-driven, nostalgic, synth-based bursts of energy to make danceable songs people could smile to. Nothing makes me happier than taking new tracks I made on a laptop into a venue and playing to an audience, and then watching a bright happy feeling I put into a song take over a crowd. That energy is what I try to bring to every song I make.

When DJ’ing events, I play what my clients want as my top priority, listening and working my hardest to execute their visions.

Live Show Highlights

new year’s eve 2025 @ moxy williamsburg

Overview: Played an 80 minute set for a sold out event the night of New Year’s Eve on the rooftop of Moxy Williamsburg (LilliStar Rooftop).

  • Audience: Independently raised $3,500 in ticket revenue

  • Date: January 2025

Playing New Year’s at Moxy was to date my favorite New Year’s event I have ever been a part of. Since this event, I have played that venue again and would welcome it anytime. It is always an extremely professional and enjoyable experience.

Halloween ‘24 @ The Crown Rooftop

Overview: Closed down the Crown Rooftop day Halloween party on 10.26.24 as the top selling DJ overall

  • Audience: 100+ people (100+ tickets independently sold)

  • Date: October 2024

This Halloween show is one I will always remember. I played a 4:30 PM golden hour set that overlooked SoHo and Chinatown in NYC at one of my favorite rooftops in the city, The Crown. With my friends and fans in costume, a beautiful sunset, and an incredible venue, this day was one of my favorites I have ever had in NYC.

The Iron Horse Party

Overview: The Iron Horse party is an annual black tie charity event in New York City that has raised over $1M for ALS research since it’s inception

For me this event was special. Serving as the entertainment for a large group of people seeking to do good and have fun created an incredibly happy, energy-filled rooftop atmosphere I’ll never forget.

While DJ’ing, I constantly get requests to play Pink Pony Club by Chappell Roan. Finally, I decided to try my hand at a remix. I made this remix the night before my New Year’s Eve ‘25 set in New York City at the Moxy Hotel, and now it has amassed 25,000+ streams. It has brought my music to so many new fans and I take great pride in it! I also think it captures my fun, big-synth style in a compact way.
